Thailand is a wonderful country and there’s plenty to do once you get there for a summer holiday. If you’re a big fan of Thai food, there’s going to be plenty of it and its remarkably cheap compared to prices here in the UK.

Wildlife is another brilliant feature of holidays in Thailand, and you can ride an elephant, see tigers and visit safaris. Don’t always expect the weather to be good with holidays in Thailand, there are certainly some showers around, but they can actually be rather enjoyable.

Its not a cold spray like we have in England, it can actually be quite revitalising, especially if you’re out exploring. If you’ve never considered a holiday in Thailand make sure you do, because it could be one that you never forget.

Taking stunning wildlife photographs on a safari

Posted on November 14, 2013 at 5:22 pm

Safari holidays are popular for wildlife enthusiast and photographers, out to make sure you come home with stunning photographs there are some important pieces of kit you require. We’re already presuming you have a DSLR camera, and with this in mind we’re providing you with a suitable list of equipment.

  • Zoom Lens – To close in on animals who may be quite a distance away without losing image quality.
  • 2 or more batteries – You may be shooting all day and depending on the life of your camera, additional batteries may be required. So bring a set and make sure you always have some fully charged.
  • Numerous memory cards. Without taking images home and searching through them on a greater screen, you may not know which ones are good and which ones need deleting. So rather than trying to find space then and there, take many memory cards.
  • A back pack camera bag. Its the most comfortable type and it should be big enough for all of you equipment and fluid in a separate waterproof compartment.
  • A lightweight tripod. The window won’t be up so a lightweight tripod is ideal, and you may need a shutter switch to make sure there is no camera shake.
